SENTINEL is the a new credentialing assistance program from Express Credentialing that includes a core credentials management service designed to prevent common credentialing issues.
Monthly SENTINEL service fee is $19.95 for each enrolled provider.
SENTINEL focuses on the foundation of most medical practice credentialing, CAQH and NPI/PECOS. SENTINEL manages and updates your CAQH and NPI data and documents, sends renewal reminders for expiring items and completes all Medicare revalidation applications.
SENTINEL clients are required to sign a service agreement that details the services, fees and other terms of service of the SENTINEL program. However, this agreement can be terminated at any time and there is no term commitment to participate.
The initial registration process is simple and should not take more than 5-10 minutes to complete. This process includes reviewing and signing your service agreement, setting up a payment method, setting up your client access and completing your initial provider roster. Once you have registered and established your account, you will be able to log into our system and provide CAQH and NPI/PECOS login information and upload any information that isn’t already included on the provider’s current CAQH profile.
SENTINEL is designed as an ongoing maintenance program and does not include new credentialing. Express Credentialing offers other individual and comprehensive services that are a better suited for a new practice. Visit www.ExpressCredentialing.com to learn more.
Medicaid enrollment renewal applications are not included in SENTINEL services. One-time credentialing options are available from Express Credentialing and are offered at a discount to current SENTINEL customers.
SENTINEL staff is available during normal business hours by phone and email (Mon – Fri 9a-5p) to assist with all aspects of your SENTINEL account and services.
Our encrypted web portal is the fastest and most secure method of transferring your documents. Documents can also be provided via fax or email but sending sensitive personal documents via email is not recommended as email is the least secure method of transferring information and documents.
Yes. The principle components of the SENTINEL program are standardized nationwide. CAQH participation requirements do vary in some states but this is included in your monthly services. SENTINEL works with all local Medicare contractors (MACs) throughout the country.
SENTINEL is not designed to provide billing or claims assistance.

NPPES/PECOS passwords can be reset by using this link. For additional assistance or locked accounts, contact External User Services (EUS) at 866-484-8049.
SENTINEL does offer resources to assist with recovering this information but in most cases, if these can’t be reset online, the individual provider is the only one able to obtain or reset this information over the phone. Once obtained, this information will always be available to you through our secure web portal.
